Cyber Pandino: 17,000 km of adventure across 20 countries
In 2025, two young Roman developers, Matteo and Roberto, turned a dream into reality. Aboard a 1992 Fiat Panda, purchased for just 800 euros, they embarked on the Mongol Rally , one of the most extreme automotive challenges in the world. An adventure spanning over 17,000 km, through 20 countries, amidst breakdowns, unexpected events, and improvised repairs that only such a journey could provide.
From the Balkans to the steppes of Central Asia
Starting from Rome, the Panda crossed incredible cities and landscapes: the historic streets of Prague, the colorful markets of Istanbul, the long roads of European Russia, and the endless steppes of Kazakhstan. Each country brought new challenges: from the bumpy roads of Kyrgyzstan to the dizzying altitudes of Tibet, passing through the mountains of northern India. On every stage, Matteo and Roberto faced mechanical breakdowns, complex border crossings, and extreme weather conditions, always with a smile and the determination to complete the journey.
OutFood: Ready-to-go energy
On such an intense adventure, food becomes essential . We at OutFood were honored to support Cyber Pandino by providing light, nutritious, ready-made meals, designed to provide energy and warmth even during the most challenging moments of the journey. From hot porridge to start the freezing days of the Kazakhstan steppes, to ready-to-cook pasta during the frenetic pace of the longest stages, our products accompanied Matteo and Roberto kilometer after kilometer, making every meal a small moment of comfort amidst the adventure.
An enterprise that combines courage and creativity
Cyber Pandino isn't just a journey, but an example of passion, ingenuity, and resilience. It shows that even with a simple vehicle and a limited budget, you can have extraordinary experiences, discover different cultures, and overcome any obstacle. Every breakdown repaired, every kilometer traveled, and every meal shared tells a story of courage, friendship, and the desire to take risks.
The adventure continues
The Mongol Rally is over, but Matteo and Roberto's stories will continue to inspire those who dream of a journey that goes beyond the destination, a journey where the road, the countries crossed, and personal determination take center stage . And we at OutFood are proud to have been part of this incredible adventure, bringing energy, flavor, and support at every stage.
An adventure that becomes a story
Cyber Pandino's journey didn't stop there. Napapijri will release a short film about the adventure in London on September 10th , celebrating the spirit of freedom and resilience this journey represents.
The protagonists themselves, Matteo and Roberto, will recount their experience in a mini-documentary that will retrace every stage of the journey, from day zero to the finish line. This project aims not only to share the emotions and most intense moments experienced on the road, but also to inspire others to embark on unconventional projects, where courage, creativity, and a spirit of discovery are key.
